Outreach to increase membership within the South Central Kansas Healthcare Coalition (SCKSHCC) is ongoing. The boundaries of the SCKS HCC include Barber, Barton, Butler, Comanche, Cowley, Edwards, Harper, Harvey, Kingman, Kiowa, Marion, McPherson, Pawnee, Pratt, Reno, Rice, Sedgwick, Stafford, and Sumner Counties in the State of Kansas.
The Coalition aims for active involvement from the following health and medical system partners within the Coalition’s boundaries. The following four core, plus CMS provider types are eligible for membership.

- Hospital (H)*
- Public Health (PH)*
- Emergency Management (EM)*
- Emergency Medical Services (EMS)*
- Religious Non-Medical Healthcare (RNHC)
- Ambulatory Surgical Center (ACS)
- Hospice
- Fire Department
- Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility (PRTF)
- All Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE)
- Transplant Center
- Long Term Care (LTC)
- Intermediate Care Facility for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities (ICF/IID)
- Home Health Agency (HHA)
- Comprehensive Outpatient Rehabilitation Center (CORF)
- Critical Access Hospital (CAH)
- Clinic, Rehabilitation Agency, and Public Health Agency as Provider of Outpatient Physical Therapy and Speech-Language Pathology Services
- Community Mental Health Center (CMHC)
- Organ Procurement Organization (OPO)
- Rural Health Clinic (RHC)
- Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC)
- End-Stage Renal Disease (RSRD) Facility

The South Central Kansas Healthcare Coalition (SCKSHCC) provides a venue whereby disaster and health emergency preparedness stakeholders from the public, private, and not-for-profit sector can share resources and information in preparedness, response, and recovery-and to do so without compromising proprietary strategies and information of individual healthcare facilities and organizations who may be competitors in the private healthcare market.
By joining the Coalition, you will receive pertinent information from the Coalition about meetings, training and exercise opportunities, and grant funding opportunities. The information you provide will also serve as a tool to aid in the response to a real event. This information will only be shared with authorized agencies for planning and response purposes.
Coalition Membership Eligibility: If your organization is one of the four core or any of the CMS provider types, you are eligible for membership in the South Central Kansas Healthcare Coalition. Your coalition membership form will be submitted to the Coalition Readiness and Response Coordinator for approval.
Note: Active members in good standing will be listed in the member directory and approved for member-only website access. If you lose active member status, you must reapply for membership.

Members of the SCKSHCC should make every attempt to:
- Attend regularly scheduled meetings;
- Communicate with their respective Executive Committee representative;
- Participate in establishing priorities for the SCKSHCC;
- Educate and inform member organizations about SCKSHCC activities and;
- Participate in SCKSHCC sponsored trainings, exercises and drills.
