osha changes fit test protocol

OSHA has announced changes to their Respiratory Protection Standard (29 CFR 1910.134, Appendix A).

The modified protocols require fewer, shorter fit test exercises and greatly reduce test time without compromising safety.

Total fit test time for qualifying instruments is reduced to less than two and a half minutes.

A software/firmware upgrade is required for model 8030, used in the NEKSHCC region. visit the TSI website for more information at tsi.com.
